The manufacturing process of vacuum bellows mainly includes the following key steps:
Raw material selection and preparation: Firstly, according to the design requirements of the vacuum bellows, select high-quality and suitable raw materials, such as copper, aluminum, iron, stainless steel and other metal materials, as well as ceramic materials such as aluminum oxide and silicon nitride. Raw materials need to undergo strict inspection to ensure they meet production standards.
Tube making: Cut the selected raw materials into appropriate lengths and use a series of processes (such as extrusion, stretching, etc.) to create a tube shape. This step is crucial for the initial shape and quality of the corrugated pipe.
Ripple formation: Processing a ripple structure on the surface of the tube is a key step in the production of vacuum corrugated tubes. The shape and quantity of corrugated structures directly affect the performance of corrugated pipes. Usually, the formation of ripples is achieved through cold rolling process, where the corrugated tube is placed on a specialized cold rolling machine and bent under a certain pressure to make the structure of the corrugated tube more compact, while also adjusting the waveform and size.
Welding and sealing: After the corrugated pipe is formed, various parts need to be welded to ensure the sealing and stability of the corrugated pipe. Welding usually uses techniques such as argon arc welding and electron beam welding. Sealing is the last crucial step, using techniques such as brazing and high-temperature melting to ensure the formation of a vacuum environment inside the corrugated pipe.
Vacuum extraction: Before sealing, it is necessary to use mechanical pumps, ion pumps, and other vacuum extraction equipment to extract the air inside the corrugated pipe, forming the required vacuum degree.
Performance testing and quality evaluation: Conduct visual inspection, dimensional inspection, and performance testing (such as pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, etc.) on the vacuum corrugated pipe produced to ensure that the product meets design requirements and quality standards.
Storage and transportation: Vacuum corrugated pipes that pass the inspection must be properly stored and packaged to prevent damage or performance degradation during transportation and storage.
